A Mystical Retreat
This rural sauna and accommodation complex, located on the edge of an ancient woodland, developed from our client’s desire to extend the opportunity to enjoy the garden beyond the summer and into the colder, darker months.
Conceived as a garden retreat for our client and their guests to enjoy, this bespoke design, inspired by our Aire signature sauna, features a sauna with three-tiered benches, a treatment room, and a living space, with two accommodation rooms housed in an adjoining, complementary unit. The external decking includes an ice bath to facilitate contrast therapy and a hot tub for relaxation.
Making the most of a previously unused area of the garden, the project centred on the sauna, with extensive landscaping undertaken to develop the site and create a space that feels mystical and otherworldly. With floor-to-ceiling glass throughout, visitors can now enjoy an uninterrupted view of the garden and ancient woodland from the warmth and comfort of the complex, all year-round.
